Santa Maria La Palma
Starting from Alghero and tracing along Capo Caccia to the north, you quickly arrive at the charming town of Santa Maria La Palma. Just before the town center, on the left, you'll find the winery of the same name.
Their story began half a century ago in the picturesque landscape of Alghero, Sardinia. Here, the farmers of the Alghero region entrusted their land and skills to build something significant. The narrative speaks of trust, collaboration, and the beauty hidden in the expanses of plains by the sea. We follow the trails of hard work and daily efforts that shape our history. It all started in 1946 in the fertile soils of Nurra, which were allocated to farmers following Sardinia's post-war Agrarian Reform Law. In this region between Golfo di Alghero and Baia di Porto Conte, the idea of the cooperative Cantina Santa Maria la Palma took root, founded in 1959.
Today, our work intertwines past and future, tradition and innovation. Over 700 hectares of land are cultivated with the same passion and dedication as before, bolstered by state-of-the-art technology. Quality is at the heart of our story, spanning from the meticulous grape selection to the conservation of our precious land. Welcome to Cantina Santa Maria la Palma, where values and Sardinian wines blend seamlessly for half a century.
