Abamele, Special honey, Jar 250g
Abamele is a product obtained by processing wax from honeycombs by boiling. The resulting water, which contains flavours of propolis, pollen and royal jelly, is boiled with the addition of orange peel and honey to achieve a honey-like consistency. It is widely used in Sardinian cuisine and is included in many traditional desserts. Due to its pollen content, it ensures a supply of protein and carbohydrates and is therefore particularly suitable for convalescence or children's diets. Abamele is particularly fine because it also uses combs that contain the bitter corbezzolo honey. It has a dark colour and some pieces of orange peel inside. The smell is strong of caramel, the taste strong with orange and pollen aromas.
