Linguine, Pasta of durum wheat semolina
Originating from the Liguria region, Linguine has gained a remarkable reputation worldwide. This stringy pasta is traditionally served as pesto pasta or with seafood, but the possibilities are endless. Sardinian pasta made from durum wheat - Linguine - might be mistaken for spaghetti at first glance, but it differs due to its flatter shape.
Since the 18th century, Linguine has been an integral part of Italian culture. A traditional Linguine dish, popular during festivities, includes pesto, beans, and potatoes and remains a cherished recipe in Liguria.
Try your hand at creating an authentic Ligurian dish with your own twist. Mix some Linguine with our basil pesto, add cherry tomatoes, and choose your preferred seafood. Don't forget to round it all off with a refreshing glass of Vermentino white wine.
