Reconta, Cagnulari D.O.C. Riserva
Recònta originates from the calcareous soils of Usini and Villassunta, where the indigenous Cagnulari grape reaches optimal ripeness. The soil is white, almost waterless, rich in limestone, and abundant in minerals necessary for the plant's growth. These pedoclimatic conditions allow the Cagnulari to fully express the typical herbaceous aromas and scents of the Mediterranean region, developing its organoleptic characteristics in the best possible way.
The grapes are hand-harvested in the first week of October and fermented in steel containers for approximately 18 days. Subsequently, the wine undergoes a 14-month aging process in French oak barriques sourced from the Allier forests. Following this process, the wine continues its maturation in steel containers.
