"Mamaioa" is exclusively crafted from certified organic Vermentino grapes. The label features a ladybug, symbolizing organic agricultural practices. The name of this bottle originates from a Sardinian expression evoking this word.
After the harvest, the grapes undergo a gentle pressing, followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature ranging between 16°C to 18°C. Once the vinification is complete, "Mamaioa" matures in stainless steel and glass-coated cement tanks for several months before bottling. It then undergoes further short bottle aging for refinement.
With a delicate pale straw-yellow color and greenish highlights, "Mamaioa" presents delicate floral scents of acacia and honeysuckle on the nose, combined with fruity hints of Granny Smith apple and aromatic nuances of thyme and marjoram.
From the first sip, it reveals itself as a fresh and mineral wine with pleasant structure and smoothness. Perfect for an aperitif, and also excellent when paired with seafood dishes and pasta with delicate sauces.
