Cantina Gallura
In Tempio Pausania, nestled at the foot of Limbara, the winery embodies the centuries-old tradition of high Gallura's vintners. Back in the 19th century, they were renowned beyond the island's borders for crafting exceptional Moscato. Rigorous selection, modern vinification, and maturation processes in barrels or barriques yield high-quality wines with flavor profiles that resonate with evolving tastes and consumer preferences. The flagship of the winery is the "Vermentino di Gallura," a unique Sardinian wine that has held the coveted Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita since 1996. The five types produced—Canayli and Genesi (in the Superior category), Piras, Gemellae, and Mavriana—all exhibit exceptional quality and stem from cutting-edge technologies. These wines have garnered numerous awards and recognitions both nationally and internationally. Alongside native cultivars—Vermentino, Cannonau, Moscato, Pascale, Caricagiola—the members of the "Gallura" winery cultivate "Nebbiolo," a grape variety imported from Piedmont in the 18th century. From the vinification of these grapes emerge three quality wines: Karana, Dolmen, and the youthful Luna Nova, all of which swiftly captured public and critical attention.
