Cooperative Seneghe
The Cooperative Mill of Seneghe was founded in 1956 by 48 local olive farmers who joined forces to collectively manage the entire olive production process. Today, the cooperative has 360 members, accounting for 98% of the olive farmers in Seneghe, cultivating around 60,000 trees on an area of 4.50 square kilometers.
After more than half a century, the Cooperative Mill of Seneghe now produces high-quality oil while preserving tradition, equipped with a modern facility entirely made of stainless steel.
The unique morphology of the Seneghe area, its hills at an elevation of 300-350 meters above sea level and just a few kilometers from the sea, along with the excellent quality of the olives, are the main factors contributing to the production of exceptionally high-quality oil. The olive harvest takes place in autumn at the time of ripening, both by hand and using mechanical shakers.
