Vigne Surrau

Located near the famous Nuraghi of Arzachena and the Costa Smeralda, an innovative winery worth visiting can be found - Cantina Surrau. Here, tradition and innovation come together. The Cantina's buildings are constructed from traditional Sardinian materials - wood and stone. In the late 1990s, the first vines were planted, and the first bottles were filled in 2004. The Surrau vineyards encompass an estate of over 50 hectares, nestled just a few kilometers from the sea in a unique landscape of polished granite rocks, shaped by wind, water, and lush Mediterranean vegetation.

The project views the winery as a workplace that transforms an agricultural product into authenticity and quality through visible processes. The architectural design is based on a harmonious connection between structure and nature, where the building blends with the earth through a sequence of transparent facades and walls made of local stone. Life at the winery is shaped by the slow passage of time. Tastings become discoveries, leading to new knowledge. The best moments unfold with intense and lasting flavors.
