Cantina di Dolianova
Dolianova, a charming town in Sardinia, has long been synonymous with the production of top-quality wines. The earliest traces of winemaking culture in this region date back millennia, as evidenced by discoveries of ancient Nuragic artifacts like amphorae and presses.
The story of Cantine di Dolianova began in 1949, when they were established to continue and honor this rich tradition. In a Sardinia that was less developed and significantly different at the time, a group of winemakers came together in a cooperative to better appreciate the fruits of their labor and collectively strengthen their individual efforts.
The photo album of Cantine di Dolianova vividly narrates this history and showcases the evolution of the cooperative. It features images of harvest seasons, historic bottles, and the initial awards won. The faces from the past blend with those of today, as often the members of Cantine are descendants of the founding pioneers.
For nearly 70 years, passing down the values of Cantine from one generation to the next has been natural: a love for the land, a passion for the vines, and a dedication to constant improvement in crafting high-quality wine. Today, just as in the past, we strive to offer those who appreciate our labels the excellence of the finest Sardinian grape varieties.
Years of history have taught us that quality isn't created overnight. Cantine di Dolianova are poised to embrace the future, fortified by 70 years of history, and guided by the wisdom of a region that boasts a 3000-year-old wine-making tradition.
