The Marsala Superiore "Old John" Riserva DOC 1998 Ambra Semisecco is a premium amber-colored fortified wine from Sicily. Made from Grillo, Catarratto, and Inzolia grapes, it matures for 48 months in oak barrels and 6 months in barrique. Its bouquet is characterized by apricot, carob, thyme, and black pepper. On the palate, it is full-bodied and warm, with notes of candied fruit, caramel, and dark chocolate. The subtle sweetness is perfectly balanced by fine tannins, creating a harmonious and long-lasting finish. Ideal with ricotta-based desserts.
