MIELE DI CARDO, Thistle honey, 500g

This honey comes from the hills of Gallura, where there is practically no intensive agriculture, no industry, no busy roads and few human settlements. The main contribution to this honey comes from wild lavender, asphodel, heather, wild clover, rockrose and a variety of wild thistles. The flavour can change somewhat from year to year, although it retains its characteristic aroma. The honey is golden yellow to amber, the smell is delkat and slightly fruity. The taste is sweet, the aroma fine and flowery.

 

This lavender honey comes from the hills of Gallura. The wild lavender makes an important contribution and is completely different from the honey obtained from cultivated lavender. Thus, the honey is distinguished by its high fructose content, which allows it to maintain its liquid phase for a long time. 
The honey is mild, bright in colour and very suitable for sensitive palates, including those of children.
