Abamele is a traditional Sardinian honey specialty obtained by processing beeswax. Boiled with orange peel and honey, it has a honey-like consistency and is an important source of nutrition for children and people in convalescence.
May contain traces of nuts

This thistle honey comes from the hills of Gallura from different species of wild thistles. They bloom in early spring and, with late rains, even in early summer. Therefore, the honey has a high density and an intense flavour typical of this flowering period. It is probably the most characteristic Sardinian honey and is much sought after and appreciated by customers because of its distinctive taste.
