The knife-making tradition of the Mura family dates back to the early 19th century and has been passed down through five generations. Founded by Balloe Mura, it reached its artistic peak with Vittorio Mura and is today proudly continued by his sons Piero, Luciano and Tonio Mura.
The Classic Sardinian Knife with striped cow horn handle (bovino striato) represents an authentic expression of Sardinian craftsmanship. Its timeless design features a handle made from natural striped cow horn, making each knife truly unique. The stainless steel blade is complemented by traditional details such as a ferrule in nickel silver or brass.
The exceptional quality of these knives has been recognized with prestigious awards, including the Premio Mariangela Meloni Tanchis in Santu Lussurgiu and the Gold Medal for Best Knife at the Macomer (NU) trade exhibition in 1984.
A functional tool and a collectible piece – a true symbol of Sardinian culture, history, and artisanal excellence.
