The Is Arenas Carignano del Sulcis Riserva DOC from Sardus Pater Winery is a refined red wine made from 100% Carignano grapes grown on the island of Sant’Antioco. The old vines, up to 80 years in age and rooted in sandy soils near the sea, give this wine remarkable elegance and depth.
In the glass, it displays a bright ruby red color. The nose reveals an expressive bouquet of red fruits, liquorice, and myrtle, complemented by balsamic and spicy notes. On the palate, it is soft and enveloping, with a silky texture, pronounced tannins, and well-balanced freshness. The finish is long, harmonious, and elegant.
Vinification includes 15 days of skin maceration at controlled temperature, followed by aging in barriques for 10 months and further refinement in the bottle. The result is a structured and complex wine with excellent aging potential.
