“Sa Crannatza de Silviu Cata” is a unique dessert wine made from Vernaccia grapes, aged for 5 years in small century-old chestnut barrels. It captivates with its deep amber color and an intriguing bouquet of chestnut honey, amaretto, butter, coffee, quince jelly, coastal herbs, and subtle resin notes.

On the palate, it's layered, moderately sweet, fresh, and almost liqueur-like, with a long-lasting finish of bitter almond. A perfect end to a refined meal, daring with oysters, and exquisite with crostini and bottarga.

Vernaccia is one of Sardinia’s oldest grape varieties, likely native and cultivated since ancient times. The Silvio Carta winery is a benchmark producer of Vernaccia di Oristano, preserving this tradition with care and craftsmanship.
