Mirto Judu – Artisanal myrtle liqueur from Sardinia

Mirto Judu is a traditional Sardinian myrtle liqueur made from wild myrtle plants growing in the Montiferru area of Sardinia. The myrtle berries are harvested by hand in natural areas far from sources of pollution.

In the glass, the liqueur displays a deep purple-red colour with violet reflections. Its intense, complex aroma features balsamic notes reminiscent of Mediterranean woodland undergrowth and Sardinia’s characteristic macchia scrubland. On the palate, it is aromatic and distinctive, finishing with a slightly astringent and bitter note.

Mirto is one of Sardinia’s best-known traditional liqueurs and is often enjoyed as a digestif after a meal. Mirto Judu offers a taste of Sardinian nature and artisanal liqueur-making tradition.
