Vernaccia 2007 is a unique wine with an alcohol content of 18% Vol. The grapes are hand-picked from late September to early October. The vines are 33 years old. The wine is vinified and aged in small centenary Sardinian chestnut barrels under Flor yeasts that act as a protective layer. The 2007 vintage aged for 13 years and appears in an ancient gold color. The bouquet intrigues with flavors of chestnut honey, amaretto, butter, coffee, and quince jelly, along with sea flora and glazed notes. The taste is complex, moderately sweet and fresh, with a lingering bitter almond finish.
