Russu, Carignano del Sulcis DOC

"Russu" (meaning "rosso") was the inaugural wine crafted by Tanca Gioia. It originates from pure Carignano del Sulcis, epitomizing San Pietro and the Sulcis-Iglesiente region.

The winery exclusively selects grapes from prime Carignano vineyard sites, resulting in a limited annual production. Despite being sourced from red berries, respectful processing gives rise to an elegant, well-balanced, and unintrusive wine. Traditionally, it perfectly complements tuna-based dishes like Spaghetti alla Carlofortina, braised tuna, and roasted tuna.

A glass of "Rosso" recreates the emotions of arriving in Sardinia by ferry or plane: It envelopes you in the scents of the Mediterranean scrub and sun-soaked paths.
