Pedrastella, Isola dei Nuraghi I.G.T.
Rich, velvety, and refined, the Carignano presents itself as a native Sardinian grape variety, also known to many as Graciano from Spain. In Spain, it is often integrated into noble blends and highly valued for its intense aroma and fine range of scents. The Pedrastella vines thrive on a plateau in southern Sardinia at an altitude of about 350 meters. The soil is characterized by clay, sand, and limestone.
In the glass, it displays a robust ruby red color with brilliant reflections. A full bouquet of red fruits, cherry, and blackberry, perfectly spiced with a pleasant peppery note. On the palate, it is wonderfully balanced. It has aged for six months in French oak barriques, now captivating with a wonderful velvety texture and extremely elegant tannins. The finish is impressively long.
A powerful wine, just as one would wish. A companion for special moments.
