The Surrau Rosso Isola dei Nuraghi IGT is a distinctive red wine from northern Sardinia. This modern cuvée blends Cannonau, Carignano and Cabernet Sauvignon and is produced by the renowned Surrau winery. In 2023, it was awarded 92 points by Falstaff (Othmar Kiem & Simon Staffler).
In the glass, it shines with a bright ruby red colour and dark reflections. The nose is clean and precise, offering vibrant aromas of blackberries and cassis, complemented by delicate floral notes reminiscent of iris.
On the palate, Surrau Rosso is fresh, linear and well-structured, with a lively acidity that adds tension and elegance. The long, clean finish makes it an excellent match for Mediterranean cuisine, pasta with meat sauces, grilled meats and aged cheeses.
