Cantina DORGALI
Cantina Dorgali – Traditional Winemaking from Sardinia
Cantina Dorgali was founded in 1953 on the eastern coast of Sardinia by a group of local growers. Over the decades, it has become an established part of Sardinian viticulture, combining regional tradition with continuous development.
Located in the Dorgali area, the winery benefits from unique climatic and geological conditions. The proximity to the sea, Mediterranean climate, and diverse soils all contribute to the distinctive character of the wines.
Cannonau and Native Sardinian Grapes
The main focus is on Cannonau, Sardinia’s most important grape variety. In the Dorgali region, Cannonau develops distinctive characteristics, including structure, fruit expression, and subtle spice.
In addition, other native Sardinian grape varieties are cultivated, contributing to the diversity and identity of the wines.
Focus on Origin and Quality
Cantina Dorgali follows a quality-oriented approach that begins in the vineyard:
- controlled yields per vine
- careful vineyard management
- planned harvesting
These practices help preserve the natural qualities of the grapes.
Winemaking with a Clear Approach
In the cellar, technology is used in a balanced and thoughtful way. The aim is to support, rather than dominate, the natural expression of the grape varieties and the terroir.
Particular attention is given to maintaining the typical characteristics of Cannonau and other native grapes.
Sardinian Identity and Terroir
Cantina Dorgali’s philosophy is rooted in the cultural and agricultural heritage of the region. By combining tradition with modern understanding, the winery produces wines that reflect the identity of Sardinia and its landscapes.
